Abstract

In this research study, a critical analysis of Mahasweta Devi's fiction is provided. Mahasweta Devi is an important figure in Indian literature, and her works are known for having a substantial impact and shedding light on the challenges faced by impoverished communities. The author of the article provides a brief history of Devi in the start of the paper, focusing on the significance of her contributions to Indian literature. The significance of the research study and its intended outcome are then discussed. The analysis section provides a broad overview of Devi's themes and her writing style, focusing on significant works such as "Draupadi" and "Breast Stories." A comparison with the works of many other Indian feminist authors is also done in order to put Devi's contributions in their proper context. In the critique part, Devi's portrayal of oppressed communities is analyzed, and this section also explores Devi's use of language and other literary approaches. When evaluating the impact that her works have had on Indian culture, it is important to take into account the role that they have played in fostering social transformation and raising levels of awareness. This study also investigates Devi's legacy and the impact she had, focusing on the ways in which she supported feminist movements and Indian literature while also having an influence on current Indian writers. The impact that her works have had on the wider world is also taken into consideration.
