Abstract

“The Unique Cloth” is a story that shows the brilliance of Tenali Rama who is one of the ministers of King Krishnadev Raya. Tenali Rama is the wisest minister and helps the King to solve each and every difficult situation and problem. He can find solutions to any complex problem. In the paper, I have attempted to translate and rewrite the story in English, taken from various sources, oral as well as written.

Overall, the story is a clever tale about the importance of patience, wit, and honesty. It highlights the power of thinking outside the box and the consequences of deceit.

Once one visitor comes to cheat and earn money. He wants a Cloth, not of any color to gift his wife otherwise he will have to give money. It is just his trick to cheat but Tenali Rama solves the problem with his great answer. He reveals the true face of that visitor and solves another tricky problem using his great intelligence.
